A great book for any age, full of Christian teaching.

Plot

Set in the Middle Ages, this is the first book in the Kingdom Series. It begins the tale of Leinad and Tess, who live under the rule of Lord Farrios. Tess and Leinad's lives change when the Dark Knight Lucius pays a visit to Leinad's home. Leinad watches as his father is killed by the Dark Knight, causing him and Tess to flee. Leinad must find the comfort and strength he needs in the ultimate King, and so find his place in his world.

Morality

This book is filled with good Christian morals. Leinad and Tess learn to cooperate together through their struggles.

Spiritual Content

Since this is an allegory of the events in Genesis it has a lot of Christian content. God is portrayed as 'the King who lives in the Kingdom Across the Sea'. Leinad represents a mixture of Adam, Abraham and Joseph. He also represents the Prophets throughout the last part of this book.

Violence

Swordfights between Leinad and the farmer.

Drug and Alcohol Content

None.

Sexual Content

None.

Crude or Profane Language or Content

None.

Conclusion

I love this book so much. It has helped me grow in my spiritual walk and it is unlike any other book I have read. It shows that we are not only children of God but warriors and knights of God.
