Leprechauns Don't Play Basketball

Series: The Bailey School Kids #4

Fairly enjoyable, but not the best morals.

Plot

Note: Co-written by Debbie Dadey and Marcia Thornton Jones.

When Bailey Elementary gets a new gym teacher on St. Patrick's Day, Eddie, Howie, Liza, and Melody begin to notice that Mr. O'Grady is strange. His height, as well as his pouch filled with rocks, make the kids wonder whether or not he could be a leprechaun. After researching Ireland, the four determine that they need to rid their school of this trickster.

Morality

Irish lore tells of a "war" that vampires and leprechauns had - a war of stealing and trickery. One vampire steals back something they had lost. Eddie is never a good role model in the series.

Conclusion

Another fairly enjoyable book of this series, this time about a mischievous leprechaun. This book is pretty fun to read, especially because it has the more "tame" creatures compared to some of the other books, besides the vampires.
