Very good. Very funny! Another perfect match for fairy tale lovers!

Plot

Everyone knows the story of The Princess and the Pea... Or do they?

Our story takes us to Snettering-on-Snoakes, where the baby Lorelei is born to a blacksmith and his wife.

Lorelei grows to be a very unusual, but very pretty, girl. She breaks out in ailments of all sorts when things are not just right in food and clothes, or when she tries to do normal chores. She wants to be as normal as everyone else, and to help with said chores; but she can't help it. So she is no good for anything but embroidering.

One day, she gets lost in the woods, while out with her nurse on a picnic. She somehow finds her way to the royal castle. And they happen to be having a grand test to find a true princess to marry the Prince Nicholas. When Lorelei gets entered into the tests, will she succeed in the seemingly impassable?

Morality

Very good, though, Lorelei's nurse does try to come up with ways to "do her in." She eventually decides just to lose her. Also, one of the princesses says some peasants, who came to the King and Queen for help, should be put to death for interrupting them.

Spiritual Content

None... not even any magic. Though, Lorelei says that the reason she is a blacksmith's daughter instead of a princess is that they were turned into peasants by a fairy.

Violence

Lorelei hurts herself some times when she tries to do some chores. Trudy tries to think of ways to kill Lorelei. And some of the princesses who failed the tests are kind of dragged away.

Drug and Alcohol Content

None.

Sexual Content

None...not even a kiss.

Crude or Profane Language or Content

No language... behavior, maybe... if you count the fact that Prince Nicholas kept feeling like one of the princesses would rather have wanted to eat him instead of marry him.

Conclusion

An excellent retelling of the classic The Princess and The Pea! With Lorelei's background, and the more intensive testing, this version seems better than the original.
