Tactics

by Gregory Koukl
207 pages, Religion
Reviewed by niennasiblings

One of the best books for a Christian to read.

Plot

'Tactics' presents a game plan for discussing your Christian convictions. Koukl provides questions and strategies for graciously disagreeing with a friend (or waitress). He begins by discussing the manner with which to argue - one of love and not of judgment. He then explores methods and perspectives to use during those discussions.

Morality

Koukl discusses how to answer a pro-choice person with a pro-life perspective; how to argue for absolute truth; and various similar topics. He also relates a discussion he had with an animal rights advocate.

Spiritual Content

Koukl is a professing Christian, and he writes to Christians. The book includes such topics as abortion, the Resurrection, biblical inerrancy, existence of God, absolute morality, and a discussion he had with a wican.

Violence

Abortion is addressed, but not discussed at all violently.

Drug and Alcohol Content

None.

Sexual Content

During an abortion discussion, rape and incest are suggested as situations in which abortion could be allowable.

Crude or Profane Language or Content

None.

Conclusion

This is an inspiring, instructional, and fascinating read. If you want to be a witness for Christ but don’t know how to go about it, this book is for you. Sprinkled with true stories of his experiences and stuffed with empowering advice, Tactics is one of the top ten books I recommend to believers.
